In China, they used to (and in some areas still do) punish thieves by bending them in a vertical contraption that looks like a wooden neck stock on four extended stilts, like a tiny table with a hole in it sitting about six foot long legs. The contraption locks around their neck, which makes them choke to death or have to stand on their tip toes. |
